Huich Goh
Violin
A freewheeling, genre-defying violinist who thrives on improvisational playing. Her projects include psychedelic improvisation free jazz collectives like the Paul Kidney Experience and Star/Time, and her own improvisation ensemble, Sahul Sakti. Some notable artists she has played with are the Booker prize nominee Jeet Thayil (India), graphic artist Ari Jayaprakash’s Kuru Circus and Orchestra (India), bassist producer composer Sandeep Madhavan (India), Yusupha Nghum (Gambia), Boubacar Gaye (Senegal), and Afro Moses (Ghana).
Mick Honegger
Gendang, percussion, silat
Melbourne’s leading pencak silat practitioner. Has played in many Melbourne bands including the Indonesian funk fusion outfit, the Jawa Pitu Band and the Electrodub Experiment.
Rana Mitra
Surdo, pandeiro, cajon
Rana has studied Brazilian percussion and plays in samba groups.
Henry Smithers
Electric bass
Henry's beautiful, creative, and empathic bass playing has seen him on stage with acts like Sanny Veloo and Ingrid and the Ministers.
Paul Whitwood
Drums
One of the most talented jazz drummers in Melbourne. Paul plays all over town and has appeared with jazz artists like Umar Zakaria, Nashua Lee, and Tony Yang.
